WHAT DO I NEED TO CONSIDER BEFORE THE TREATMENT?
Before signing up for a treatment, please read carefully all the information regarding the treatment procedure, contraindications and post-treatment recommendations. This will eliminate any doubts about the procedure and streamline the whole process when booking an appointment and performing the treatment.
PERMANENT MAKE-UP CONTRAINDICATIONS TO TREATMENT
RELATIVE CONTRAINDICATIONS:
*Persons taking medication on a regular basis, require the consent of the attending physician).
- If diabetes is balanced, we perform the procedure
- Sleeping aids
- Sedatives
- Steroid medication can impede healing
- Anti-inflammatory drugs
- Anticoagulants
- Fungicides and antibiotics
- Antidepressants
- People with heart disease and skin problems require consultation
TEMPORAL CONTRAINDICATIONS:
- Bacterial, viral or fungal infections
- Skin damage at the pigmentation site
- Pregnancy and lactation
- Radio or chemotherapy
- Halfpass
- Herpes
- Fresh scars
- Sunburn
- Inflammatory conditions
- Skin petechiae
- Lowering of the body's immunity, infections and sub-febrile states
- Vaccinations up to 4 weeks before and after surgery
- Eyebrow or eyelash growth conditioners (6 weeks to stop before treatment)
- Artificial eyelashes must be removed 2 weeks before the eyeliner treatment
- Lip augmentation (6 weeks after the lip pigmentation can be performed)
- Botox (4 weeks after, eyebrows can be done)
- Eyelid plastics can be performed after 6-12 months
- Strong tan preferably wait 2 weeks
ABSOLUTE CONTRAINDICATIONS:
- Allergic reactions to the dye (PPD paraphenylenediamine)
- Tumours
- Skin diseases at the pigmentation site (e.g. psoriasis, urticaria)
- Diseases of the retina and cornea of the eye (in case of line pigmentation)
- Epilepsy
- Retinoid treatments (Izotek, Acnenormin, Axotret, Curacne, Isoderm, Trtoskin up to 6 months after treatment)
- Haemophilia
- Keloids
- Infectious diseases (HIV, hepatitis)
PREOPERATIVE RECOMMENDATIONS
PREPARATION FOR EYEBROW PIGMENTATION:
- Do not adjust eyebrows 4 wks. Before treatment
- Do not perform henna 4 weeks. Before treatment
- Botox and other aesthetic treatments within the treatment area 4 wks before or after the pigment is fully absorbed
- 6 weeks before stop using eyebrow growth products
- Rule out contraindications
- 48h before do not consume alcohol, narcotics and blood-thinning drugs
- Do not drink coffee, strong tea or energy drinks on the day of treatment
- If you drink chaste, you should stop 4 weeks before (it hinders the absorption of the pigment)
PREPARATION FOR LIP PIGMENTATION:
- Perform a lip peel before the treatment (softens the epidermis and the pigment is better absorbed)
- Keep lips well moisturised
- If you are prone to herpes, you should take antiviral preparations (e.g. Heviran, Hascovir or stronger preparations available by prescription after medical consultation) a few days before the treatment.
- For lip augmentation, wait up to 6 weeks after treatment
- We exclude contraindications
- Active herpes excludes the procedure (also valid for pigmentation of other areas)
- 48 hours before, no alcohol, blood-thinning drugs or intoxicants may be consumed
- Do not drink coffee or energy drinks on the day of treatment
PREPARATION FOR EYE PIGMENTATION:
- When prone to swelling, it is recommended to take homeopathic arnica cassoules
- 6 weeks before, stop using eyelash growth conditioners
- 2 weeks before, false eyelashes must be removed
- Contraindications must be ruled out
- do not consume alcohol, blood thinners or narcotic substances 48 hours before the procedure
- Do not drink coffee or energy drinks on the day of treatment
- After blepharoplasty of the eyelids, wait 6 to 12 months and consult with your eye doctor
POST-TREATMENT RECOMMENDATIONS
EYEBROWS After treatment, they may appear too intense. This is as correct as possible, and once the pigmented peel has peeled off, they will be 40% lighter to reach their final colour after 6 weeks. During the follow-up visit, any defects are filled in. The eyebrows are wiped with a cotton swab lightly moistened with boiled water twice a day. During the healing stage, for a period of 10 days, one must not:
- Use of the swimming pool
- Saunas also infrared
- Gym tan
- Soak , scratch , peel off pigmented skin
- Apply foundation in the area of pigmentation
- Change the bedding
- Maintain special hygiene of the treatment site
- Limit contact with pets
- Cosmetic treatments (acids etc up to 4 weeks after treatment)
- Hair treatments up to 14 days after
- Eyelash treatments including thickening after 14 days
USTA After the treatment they may appear too intense and swollen. This is as correct as possible, and once the pigmentation crust has flaked off, they will be 40% lighter to reach their final colour after 6 wks. During the follow-up visit, any defects are filled in. The lips are taped the first day with boiled water every 2 hours and, from the next day, are lubricated 3 times a day with a preparation recommended by the linergist. During the healing stage, for a period of 10 days, it is not allowed:
- Use of the swimming pool
- Saunas also infrared
- Gym tan
- Soak , scratch , peel off pigmented skin
- Apply foundation in the area of pigmentation
- Change the bedding
- Maintain special hygiene of the treatment site
- Limit contact with pets
- Lip modelling with acid after 6 weeks
- Do not eat raw products (sushi, tartare) until the pigmented skin has fallen off
- Do not use open glosses, lipsticks
- Do not consume alcohol
CROSSES The skin may be swollen and reddened after treatment.
